Amazing even after last round of layoffs targeting IT Management the majority of remaining managers are equally terrible and unqualified for their jobs. No respect for this place. QCOM IT is a mess and good people in IT need to leave.

IT has a good management, I say this because they justified many promotions in IT as Engg. did in AR18 and it's a global execution!
Stay happy, motivated and listen RW more than MG.
Opportunities remained always there outside Q and inside Q. It's our choice, skills and decision.
Leave the IT management if you don't fit in but do not spread bad about the management!
It's scary. Morale is at an all-time low in Corporate IT (and most of the other BUs at QC, to be fair!). I get to work everyday and our building (yes, all of corporate IT fits onto one floor of one building now) is like a ghost-town.
"Survivors" has become a popular term head in the hallways and the few of us that are left, are doing the work of like 6 people.
Zero trust. AR18 will erode it further.
Waiting for review to see if they are still taking care of top talent.
Why is it everyone says review results will help them make their mind about dropping out.
Sounds like an excuse and an empty threat. People who want to go, just go, no waiting to see a surprise in november. And seriously, who thinks there will be a surprise? Why would there be one? Cause we complained? Is someone actually worried bout morale up there?
Before I left, I always felt the IT department was one of the best aspects of qcom.
So many reductions and reorgs, I don't yet know what the new norm looks like to make the stay or leave call. Review results may help with my decision.
