How did your West Texas survey go? Were individuals selected by the third party or "specially" selected?

November 1st the clock is ticking. Decisions need to be made on how we are moving forward. Maybe we are just a number- oil & gas lives matter too!

Should be great entertainment to see how these surveys play out. Midland can not support their own much less adding to the population. When a city needs an almost Billion dollar bond for their public schools and $100 million dollar bond for roads there’s a problem with infrastructure.

Yes, people were forced to go to Midland to keep a job. There was no choice if those employees wanted a job. The bonus was announced much later. There was stipulations tied to the bonus too. No one willingly went.

But, in the game of brinksmanship, some very low people (skills, and position) did say no and got away with it. It just goes to show how politics drives the company, not merit.

People didn’t volunteer to goto Midland.

People were told their position was in Midland and if they didn’t go then they wouldn’t have a position. People were forced to move in order to keep employment and the bonus was announced much later after people signed, imbecile.

Moving to Midland, TX was a personal decision offered by the company by offering a bonus. What f---ing imbecile would voluntarily uproot their lives in Houston, Texas to move there? What the f--- is wrong with you people?

All the money wasted on west TX and people could of commuted and The company would of came out cheaper and retained people.

Know what’s great? People hand selected to be individually surveyed by leadership. Look at the list of managers selected vs how many individual contributors...it’s really great to see such a broad encompassing survey to capture in confidence how people feel. It doesn’t feel crazy to think that leadership selected people that they thought would “play ball” and make Midland not look like the dumb f---ing decision it was.

Let’s also not forget that they’re going around “validating” the survey results that will be sent to the E.C. with managers and a few IC’s.

This whole thing feels like a sham and core values are a relic, I guess we will know soon enough. They want to give people enough time to look for other employment as the two year contract ends and people get their bonus.

Heard there was another round of one-on-one survey to review the last round of one-on-one surveys in Midland. Why? Will anyone else in the future be required to move there? Thoughts?

It amazes me that people would actually move to west Texas to keep working for Anadarko. These same people would uproot their lives and move hundreds of miles away to keep their jobs.

Whatever works for you, I suppose. Good luck and happy trails...

They didn't do a lot of one on one interviews so it's hard to tell, but I'd b surprised if it was random or by the 3rd party group. The survey was only supposed to take 30 minutes but I was closer to 2.5 hours. Let's just say I had some comments to add....
