GE's days of making new, innovative machinery and systems is over. The company is infested with rot - management level employees that have found a profitable career in acquiring, sc-apping, and selling what was left behind for them. Including their fellow coworkers. CAS and the accounting firms are not going to blow a whistle - they are paid NOT to. They have literally no incentive to call out any wrongdoing. They'll take their money and move on in 10 years as the company continues to bleed out.
This whole enterprise of course requires plenty of lying, acting, cheating, and other sociopathic behavior/moral degradations. You are working alongside white collar thieves and criminals that would sell you down the river on day 1 to increase their wealth.
As a young American watching GE's downfall, along with the political circus and destruction of morality at the highest levels of office, I feel ashamed. These men and women in leadership positions are showing the truly rotten innards of a sick and tired beast that has lost its way.
This should be a case study in school instead of the whitewashed garbage we learned. How to put on a white collar, plunder and loot, die a rhuematic old skeleton clinging to the last morsels of pleasure, and leave the next generation with a shell of what was once great.
