1aoy - It's where FMPs go for 2 years to make SPB and 4-5 years to land CFO/EB roles before turning 30. This article is a little outdated but hits the key points before everything blew up. 80% of GE CFOs came from CAS and 75% of CAS members came directly from FMP (entry level Financial Mgmt Program).

Just curious, what is CAS?
Supposedly you were essentially guaranteed executive band if you completed cas chroney rotation for a few years. In past.
Not all cas people are bad. I know a few decent ones but they are not executive level ready finish a few years of bs harassment in the field.
CAS is not much like on this forum in any thread. I have seen kids become Director/VP with just 5-6 years of total experience.

This means that activist investor has he guy in now.
Next step = breakup
It means John told the board that power is in the sh--e hole and he could reach his promised numbers. Finally someone is held accountable at GE.
Hopefully it means we get some competent CEOs instead of CAS graduates.
