If all the full-time faculty got laid off at the staying-open schools, how are the classes which begin today being taught?

Full time faculty positions that are being transitioned to adjunct, are the former full timers applying for unemployment benefits?
1hav I thought it was illegal to fire ftf only to replace with new hire ftf -- I am sure the new ones will be paid less.
However -- they get away with it - because they really weren't fired only transitioned to adjunct status. but even that is illegal.
What is the reason for hiring full time faculty at schools like Seattle if they just laid them off in the first place? Full time postitions in each department are being hired as of 9/28. This doesn’t make any sense.

Look on the DCEH website. They’re hiring for full time positions again.
At a dramatic reduction in pay with no insurance or benefits.
Another thing they do is have one person teach 3 or 4 different classes in the same section. It is a sshow, but they've been doing that for a long time.
They rehires the fired faculty to be adjunct. The problem is that some people may not want to do that. They may find it to be not worth it. Then the students suffer. Again.
