We all know what this means...Good Luck.

1xbo "Your forgetting that the hall is full of D rates, so unfortunately that's who they'll try to protect." Well then they may all very well lose and die together if they play too much hardball. At this point it seems unrealistic to demand more or to even expect to maintain the same. I don't see us having much leverage at the bargaining table, if any at all. Things won't change for the better soon enough to provide even the slightest as it is now.
OP - at first I respectfully disagreed with your interpretation of Corporatespeak. Then Jokes sent out an email referencing "structural cost" reductions.
I doubt you no more...
“I am set for life in my position my career path could be moved overseas and I go with it.“
Typical so called educated gypsy. Part of the overall problem at GE.
Your forgetting that the hall is full of D rates, so unfortunately that's who they'll try to protect. With this new rate and wage structure, the company is paying more for everything. I wouldn't want to be in a "C" classification, that group already has one foot out the door.
There's no way the d-rates don't get broken during the next contract if things continue as they are. If they leave, any decent job they could have gotten was already taken by a t-rate that was already laid off. T may stand for Temporary but it's looking like D will stand for Done!
I Love to see those lazy d rate get a job in the real world along with those t rates they trained. Glad I am on the salary side and get to harass and mess with the week union officials. I love to see the unions hand tied to the point they don’t file grievances. I am set for life in my position my career path could be moved overseas and I go with it. Not those lazy legacy rate so called union members. Let’s not forget those lazy non legacy so called members who get the shaft at every turn. I will continue to harass and strike fear into that so called union and those scaredy-cats that try to work on the floor is they have any. More layoffs and restructuring are coming to a Schenectady plant near you. Ha Ha Ha
Watch Out!.........don't get too comfortable, the longer you chill ,harder it is to get back
Yea. Time to enjoy unemployment and watch Netflix and Chill.
Merry Christmas !
