Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Hate working here

I actually cringe at the thought of having to go to work at Enbridge. Anyone who used to give a F is either gone or is actively looking for something new. Nobody cares anymore, and that goes for many of the people leaders too. It’s a joke!

It sad, because I am a hard worker and used to do my best. Now I just want a package.

If you are considering working for enbridge RUN AWAY. It’s TOXIC and will RUIN your morale. If you do accept a role, make sure to take note of the employee support line when onboarding - you’ll need it. This has been the most miserable 5 years of my life.

BOEF= Building our energy future

Infrastructure Planning = another enbridge group which until now i dont know what they do, even I have been with the company for more than 10 years. All what i hear is that they are the reason behind most projects go side ways due to poor planning.

May be the IP psychopath can have his opinion on this .

Let’s talk about pipeline integrity, where good money goes to die. 4 directors for 150 people? From what I’ve heard some of their work isn’t even risk ranked? A Blank cheque is given because of the threat of a leak. Meanwhile the only thing that is leaking is the share price. Lol.

I think the IP guy is trying to use irony so that someone takes a closer look at the group. In other words: do their skills & attitude match the value they create? I expect a technical foundation would be needed combined with operational experience. I've heard mixed things out the group.

A skills gap analysis would be a good way to assess their job. We should do that for all roles. Needs to be done by someone who knows what they are doing outside of the employee-supervisor duo.

On the same note.. some of the leaders in this place do not meet my expectations. A good starting point is the 360 degree review which someone else posted about. They desperately need these or should resign if they don't want to improve.

Guys don't take the IP guy seriously. He has been told to troll the forum. He is paid to do this. I even know who this guy is. He has a huge insecurity and lack of confidence problem so he has to constantly talk himself up. If it helps he is seeing a psychiatrist.

Hehehehe, the infrastructure planning guy is day dreaming again. You have nothing else except to write in each thread how important and perfect IP are...... if what you say is true then i guess you dint need to come to this page to listen to roamers.

FYI, i personally know lots of people at IP in addition to few supervisors and most of them are averge and may be below average performers.

Sorry to hear your Enbridge experience has not been good. If you worked for Infrastructure Planning I can assure you the experience would be incredible. This department is full of rockstars with elite knowledge and experience. Managing all the important projects for the company. The manager is a genius and the supervisors are rising corporate superstars. Complete with asinine SME knowledge, it's no wonder Infrastructure Planning is the core of Enbridge.
