Look for another place to work! The entire Health and Wellness area is confused and in disarray! There is no leadership and rumor has it, Walmart is steps away from buying XXXX Pharmacy.

During my tenure in Health and Wellness I’ve seen 3 Executive Presidents of Health and Wellness leave over past 4 years. The area is bleeding red due to contractual stupidity resulting in loss of revenue, false perceptions and revolving leadership.

I worked at the HO in Health and Wellness, and yes there is age discrimination. I saw it and also experienced it. The area is an infestation of politics and does not in any way follow the Walmart code of ethics or EEOC. The directors and a few of the VP’s I interacted with are so intertwined, that when an associate does “Open Door” for any reason, the associate is put on a black list and labeled a trouble maker.

My personal experience and what I observed. If anyone has a complaint and reported it to Walmart Ethics, forget it. Nothing will happen and after 6 months your complaint will be dropped and the associate misses the EEOC 180 day filing requirements.

I cannot be more specific since I filed an EEOC complaint for age and disability and the investigation is ongoing.

Be aware, Walmart will not arbitrate with EEOC or respond to the complaint. You have to sue Walmart after EEOC responds back to you, I’m still awaiting EEOC’s response.

Walmart runs pharmacy like factories, ever since the four dollar generics. It’s worse than groceries! Pharmacy will be changing in a big way. One pharmacist, one tech and no cashiers one shift. Eventually they will get rid of all that inventory. Most pr-scrip-ions will be filled off site.

That's outrageous. I dont wanna see anyone get their hours cut, but c'mon---big difference between stocking dry groceries and preparing medications. Some things you're never supposed to skimp on

I talked to my pharmacist on Saturday and the only thing he talked about is that WM is longer hiring pharmacists/pharmacy managers at 40 hours, all are hired in at 28 hours. As they leave or step down they won’t be replaced with someone who works 40 hours.
