Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Merit Raise Update

According to a souce close to ELT, merit increases will be delayed (again) until FY20. There will be more layoffs in multiple BUs as we approach the upcoming Holidays. Good luck to all. Search for jobs now.

This is so sad to hear. Former CHC employee now working for a MCK limited client. CHC is looking to see what employees will tolerate. Delaying raises okay? Good for CHC to know. Miniscule raises okay? Still good for CHC to know. No raises okay? GREAT for CHC to know. Why are things ever going to improve if you are content to be abused? CHC is trying to get as many competent employees to leave voluntarily so their severance liability is negligible. Those of you that stay until the bitter end will discover that their ridiculously named People Connection will lose/misplace/delay severance until your 15th week of calls to India. By then the IPO will have been produced with your severance money propping up the business as interest free loans. I wish you well.

Checking in at 2% on my merit increase. That said, I had to check the People Connection and pay change to see this. Haven't spoken with a manager or had a review at this point.

Unless your parachute is golden it's probably time to ditch the Titanic. Rumblings are that underwriters have come on board in prep for 2019 IPO. Low merit increases are just the tip of the iceberg here.

Yeah, since when you factor in inflation this is a pay cut, I'm going to reduce and performance to reflect the new salary accordingly.

As a former employee who left voluntarily, this s---s to hear. I mean, it clearly validates my decision to leave and pursue a better opportunity, but I know a lot of good people who are still with the company. My advice: get out while you can (voluntarily) before the departure becomes involuntary with a 1week paycheck pad and a pat on the behind.

My cost of living/ merit increase was also paltry but I knew it would be, given the state of the company and its shifting priorities. However, I have adjusted my efforts accordingly to be in line with how the company seems to value its employees which in my opinion is very little. It is clear to me that like one poster said previously if you want more money the best solution is to probably look outside the company. Or adjust your efforts accordingly with how the company seems to value you and put of appropriate effort.

It’s not a “merit” raise if you work your a-- off all year while your co workers screw off yet you both get the same percentage. Hard workers need to start being recognized.

2 %.

Employees should not expect big pay raises here. This company really doesn’t do that. You have to leave to get larger pay (and can then come back with even bigger raise). It’s called the private equity hopscotch and this company is trying to IPO.

When hiring team members who are new they almost always make more than those of us who have been here despite much less experience. Once you understand that you can do your own thing, either going or staying. Churn, baby, churn!

1.5% seriously? Wage growth is not keeping pace with inflation.

Thanks for extra pennies Nail and Hammer. I quit.

I've received my communication, and been provided the amount of my merit increase. Wherever the OP sourced their info from, should get a refund.

Somebody's ELT source was wrong, at least for Ops.

People leaders have the statements to hand out as of this morning.

Little higher than 1.5%...

Pretty shameful that there has been no communication. Speaks volumes about the culture of this company.

I had heard there was a budget of 1.5% per employee. So yeah, might as well not have a merit increase at this point.

If it is true, it would be a very late change in direction. Managers were told merit increase employee letters would be available next week and raises would be viewable after the 10th, so employee discussions needed to happen in the next week or so. So, if it is true it is an even worse indicator of the company's ability to plan...

If tru this is going to demoralize the workers even more. Hard to believe this 2 b true.

I had a feeling this was going to happen.

When you can't give merit increases there is a major issue.if you value your employee's you find a way to budget in the raise. But why would they invest all this migration and converting all the systems but then lay off employee's.

Wow..this is stressful ive been with this company for 20 plus years
