All full time faculty got laid off at Art Institute of Atlanta yesterday. Their insurance is cut off on Friday. Most of the Deparment Chairs and administration is gone as well.

AI Dallas same happened
Atlanta was not on the schedule to close, neither was Miami, no Ai is safe (be prepared AiP and AiO).
Long before the sale from EDMC to DCF and the creation of DCEH, Ai was never of interest to DCF, from an article March 6, 2017, “the least aligned institution to the Dream Center’s mission would be the Art Institutes. But he said the foundation would consider offering more technology training degrees through the Art Institutes to fill growing job market needs.”
“programs like art, design, culinary ..... are very expensive to teach and there is a much more narrow chance of making it big if students have dreams of being a fashion designer … they’re jobs that don’t pay well out of college.”

Did they get a severance. . many of us didn't get a penny because we'd been given "such a long notice."
Also, did they just rehire them as adjunct or are the schools closing?
Seattle aswell
AI Atlanta is still currently open as of now however I would be surprised if they are still open actively enrolling new students beyond the new year.
What Admin and chairs roles? Aren’t they staying open?
OMG - so sorry for all those people - and students -- are any ftf going adjunct?
