A meeting was held today at 1 PM. All remaining faculty were told to attend. The president basically told us he knows absolutely nothing about what's going on, which someone at the meeting called him out on. He told us that adjuncts now may lose or gain classes because of the restructure. We were explicitly told not to speak to the students at all about what has happened. Or there may be repercussions.

As of March 22, 2019; AI facalty has not been paid. There is a meeting on March 26 (supposedly) to address this issue.
I am an attorney who taught Business Law at an AI. 1nqe correctly states something peculiar is going on here. EDMC has listed all AI locations in its bankrupcy filings. EDMC is required by the Federal Bankruptcy Judge to respond to motions and requests about its assets and liabilities. The peculiar part is why AI locations were still listed as EDMC assets when they were -alledgely- sold to DCEH. Corporations can and do form shell companies for a variety of reasons to hide assets and liabilities but they usually aren’t fully functioning entities. Of course, given what is now happening, maybe all AI campuses will soon not be open, rendering the question moot
I'd quit that mess and do a press interview asap. Nothing quite like giving morally bankrupt false Christians their comeuppance.
I see people or a single person consistently bringing up the bankruptcy filing and EDMC has been going through motions every 2-3 days but after June none of the other campuses had any other action and are valued at $0 of assets. I know for a fact a majority of you are not lawyers so could somebody who is not just a sarcastic salty laid-off employee explain this? Are there two Art Institute of Las Vegas' which occupy the same address but one is legally invisible?
If they are still open can they file again for chapter 7?
How many times can the same location go Bankrupt?
