In old time, talking people just talk, and good engineers worked. Talking people promoted and good engineer went to good companies. The empty seat was filled with good engineers. Now, Qualcomm is in death spiral. Talking people still talk and promoted, and good engineers leave to good company. Their seat is filled with bad engineers or talking people. Nobody know how to read log. Qualcomm is doomed..

Engineers need to STAND UP to leads and PM’s who demand accountability for your deadlines but no one else. Dumb game player eng says “I’m done” oops but no one did tested it?? Oops did he forget to indent, and his code looks like trumps toilet after McDonald’s binge? Do not be silent. Do not allow yourself as tester for others code they say works but didn’t tested it. Do not allow sh-- code in your life. Defend the jewel! Demand quality! In yourself and others! Let them be fired as worthless junk developers if they are. Stand up, and say something, or else it is you. This company can only s--- hard if sh--head devs are allowed to take huge dumps in the code base — fire them!

Exactly. That's why HR pays people to troll this board to post "ZOMG, QUALCOMM IS DA GREATEST!!!". Because they can't attract good people to SD. They flock to the Bay Area because it's not the ONLY company there if you get laid off/quit.
