Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

There is always another door...

I posted this comment two years ago when I got layoff, I'm reposting it as a reminder that YOU are the most valuable thing right now and no matter what happens there's always hope, so appreciate yourself and think positive cause I can assure you, getting layoff 2 years ago from enbridge was the best thing that happened to me, my life became stress free!!!

Out the door with class!

As my time with enbridge wasn't as long as some of you. I show my respects, because in all my professional career this has been the most awful experience I had the misfortune to endure...I joined with the hope of being part of a team where the company recognizes employees for their hard working values and skills at least with a thank you, but that was too much to ask for...

For all of us that left today, there will be light at the end of the tunnel...keep believing in yourself and have courage, as you're a valuable gem, so don't give up because around the corner there's an amazing opportunity waiting for you ;)

For those staying, focus on what's important, which is you! so don't let the mental stress or emotional anxiety take over your well-being...

What I miss most since being gone is the PYT that were on the new floor in Houston...there were several T1ts mcgees up there!

I’m sure they are long gone - but they were hot

I was laid off a year and a half ago. I don't miss the company one bit. I do miss the people.

The best advice I can give is to be prepared. If you have a company phone with contacts, export them to a spreadsheet because your phone is remotely wiped. Keep your resume up to date and always be looking for other opportunities.

Despite preparing, it's still a shock. I felt like I was having an out of body experience. Stay professional throughout the process and even as you're escorted off site. It didn't really hit me until the next day. The main thing is to figure out your plan and start doing what you need to do to find your next job. I was lucky and found employment quickly. The job is better than my last one with less stress. I'd never work for Enbridge again. It was once a great company but there are lots of better ones out there.
