Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

Entire E-team gone day one

I heard a rumor the entire e-team will be let go day one - which kind of explains their lack of engagement. Day 1 includes a dramatic reorganization for those that remain and most staff will be one or two levels away from an existing Broadcom manager.

Anyone else hear something similar at what that means for existing EVP, SVP and VP folks?

They will probably only keep some leaders from mainframe. Everyone el$e ha$ gone quiet. We will miss GD he's the only one communicating even if it's vague.

Of course the ELT will be gone day one. Broadcom doesn’t need another CEO, CTO, CMO, etc. they already know their severance and/or golden parachute. They are minimally engaged now, as needed and requested but not making any decisions otherwise.

At CA we have a very fat org. Like 7-10 layers that separate a coder to CEO. This is not the Broadcom way. This will be the reorganization that nobody will forget. People are really kidding themselves. I hear things like “oh they can’t do this or that day 1”. People on yammering are even worse mad about day care or benefits. They assume they will have work in the Broadcom world. It is safer to assume you will not. Lot of people think they are too valuable to be let go. This will be a shocker to a lot of people. Guy knows this, he knows how bad it will be and has shown great leadership. Most day 1 cuts will be in us since laws don’t forbid it. Other countries the blood shed will continue through out the year.
