Thread regarding VeriFone layoffs

Are we sure layoffs are done?

People are acting like this is all over, but how do we know there will be no more layoffs next week?

This looks to me like a start of something much bigger.

I might be wrong - and I certainly hope I am - but it would be really nice to know for sure. Until then, I am not relaxing.

It's at least 35% in TPE... the management does seem to give sh-- about R&D at all, all they are thinking is ODM strategy, who tend to ignore the number of times it had failed in the past...

Policy of FP is to make one big lay off in general. Desire is not to scare the few who are still in place and make them leave. However expect people to run out in view of handling of situation.

More lay off will take place as production ability is now badly impacted as of mid week. Customers will scream, things will get worse due to lack of customer support. So employees will be under massive stress and those who had been patient so far are already updating their resume and interviewing. Bye bye... And some new fired, newly hired people are already poaching former colleagues.

Competitors are calling targeted employees to poach them asap.

Simple prediction: FP will close LCN... How will it be possible to maintain devices and perform repairs? This will lead to more unhappy customers, then less money then more FP fixes that will be doomed and then more firing squad on the employees who worked so hard to try to make it happen...

Please keep updating YouTube video why people should work at Verifone... Hilarious.

They are not. Someone asking in another thread about DUB and TPE. I know DUB is targeted to shut the entire office down (I have not seen the complete list yet, only a dozen or so offices). LCN, yes LCN, is also on that list ie. "why are we in the logistics business, can't we outsource this?". This is only the beginning.
