Thread regarding GE Digital layoffs

Coretech Lack of buyer?

From today's all hands I'm getting the impression if there was a serious buyer before, they've backed out, OR there never was a serious buyer and they just assumed they'd have one by now.

Wonder what will happen to us if no buyer comes though.

Massive layoff and outsourcing maybe??

Lay-off and pay off baby.

I’m ready to go.

It is no secret that CoreTech is losing money. All the initiatives to simplify applications, reduce servers, move to the cloud, etc., has only compounded the problem which is they can’t lower their costs fast enough. Expect massive layoffs, buyer or no buyer.

I think GE businesses could use developers, but not the layers and layers of talking heads. Most of power and aviation is close to retirement.

Start with the top and keep chopping till you get to people who are adding value. Invest in solving problems for real customers. Rebuild org w new blood and ideas.

Flannery is a chop and slash guy, not a visionary. He is next to go after the spinoffs are done.

Ruh is worthless. Kicking his a-- to the curb should’ve been Flannery’s first move.

I love the snide comments he makes in his all hands and chastises his own senior staff. “We are going to have a meeting on how to have less content on a slide.”

In my opinion that shows the true person. I am sure he sleeps well knowing all the lives he has destroyed with his unqualified arrogance. And 8-10% new people? You are fools for joining this place.

I’m sure he will just write a book like BC when he leaves with a massive payout.

Proposed book titles please?
