Thread regarding Micron Technology Inc. layoffs

Here we go again

Gross margin is shrinking, stock is tumbling down, and Zinsner goes public and says we are going to have a few rough quarters.

We are working to gradually mitigate most of the impact from these tariffs over the next three to four quarters

Brace yourselves! It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

I agree, there is not much around here to go to and Micron knows this. The place is a dump and everyone hates it. This place does destroy people and families... Those of us working out here are all scared. Scared of losing everything and no one caring about it. Micron does not care about anyone. High tech jobs are all moving overseas. Good luck to everyone out here.

The test area s---s! The management can go screw themselves and I hope they lose everything because of the harm they have caused.

Test management if you are reading this go fock yourself pussies and I/we hope the worst for you. Backstabbers!

As we all who live it daily know, it is a hell with dysfunctional leaders and unqualified lower level managers. Many have been fired and then replaced with foreign nationals such as from the Phillipines who are more willing to accept the treatment. Sad but true that there is nothing else like Micron in the Treasure Valley so most of us bend over and take as long as they will let us take it.

I've been saying this for many years - If another large High Tech company moved to Boise and started hiring, there would be a mass exodus from Micron. Most people are unhappy, but have nowhere to go. There really aren't many options in Boise other than HP/HPE which is worse than Micron.

I think it is safe to say that generally, moral is terrible in this place. I have been here for many years and I know many people working in several areas and they all say the same thing; it's not good.

Micron destroys marriages, families, and life all together. If your family is ok with you being gone 60 hours per week or else having to stay home all the time during the weekends so you can log in this is a good job for you. If you cannot do this then Micron will eventually lay you off.

Keep in mind that after putting in all these hours the pay does not go up much anymore, the stock options have shrunk or gone and now they are trying to cut your performance pay.

There is no way I can recommend anyone to come and work out here any longer. It is living hell and everyone hates being out here that I work with.

Technology is always up and down. When business is good Micron lays people off. When business is bad Micron lays people off. What difference does it make?
