Did anyone catch Guys response asking about what happens if they get divested? His response was I can't answer that yet, terms are usually negotiated specific to each divestiture.
We already know Guy has a job with Broadcom, he kinda indicated that earlier this week, and this indicates that divestitures are happening and he is involved in some way.
So now lets all start the speculation.
No speculation needed. Divestments will happen with 100% probability. Broadcom is well known for this – they buy company, tear it apart, keep (integrate) what is profitable with high margin and the rest will be sold. If there is any part of company which doesn’t bring any add value and no buyer is around it will be shut down. You don’t really need HR guy to confirm this. It’s most logical step and also what Broadcom did with every single acquisition in the past. The only difference is that in the past only few hundred people were affected, now it will be thousands due to size of CA. It is very old-school type of corporate raid but obviously is still very well working for Broadcom. People which will be fired on Day 1 – I think they’re lucky one, especially if they get severance.
How did he communicate he already had a job at Broadcom?
Such a dumb post. He told the company he doesn’t have a job in the post. He said they don’t need two heads of HR. Did you interpret that to mean he was going to Broadcom? How dumb. He also answered a hypothetical question with a hypothetical answer. You really don’t get it, the one person communicating is being misinterpreted. I know him very well and he will just say f$&# it and stop, he doesn’t benefit from any of this. Stop being dumb.
