Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

9/28

Any updates on the termination timelines for accredited Ai colleges.

It’s a fact Brent’s teams read these reports and these posts- maybe they could release something to share their long term vision with remaining dedicated faculty. A lot of us love our jobs and a lot of us have ideas and contributions we would like to make to the life blood of helping resuscitate Ai - the problem is we have some middle management at the colleges that do not want to listen to us - unless the ideas come directly from them.

A lot of us have decades of experience and still in the industry that allowed to be full time and if we had a direct channel to help could offer up ideas that would be alignment with the one university system and help make this highly profitable.

Problem is in some of our programs - the boss play favorites and refuses to listen to us and gets jealous of faculty members who they see as threat to their ego. We will be losing 3 highly skilled adjuncts and full timers due to the ground level mismanagement and ego of this person

We have no way to speak up and our boss hides their head in the sand while all this is going on around them.

A number of us fulltomers like our jobs are honored to work for Brent but are too afraid to speak up because the people directly above us don’t listen - even when the people above th do and want us to do what we are doing but can’t because of the incompetence of the middle managers.

“We have no way to speak up and our boss hides their head in the sand while all this is going on around them.” this is exactly what accreditors need to hear.

Yes I am an DCEH employee and yes I understand being honest with accreditors could cost us all our jobs. But it is just a job. There are no “career” positions with a business like DCEH (career implies a future). There are many other job options for everyone who is willing to step out of their comfort zone and apply.

I'm right there with you 1fap. First, Brent and his gang do not pour over this site to see what the little folk are sayin'. Period. It's business and that's all it is to them. Are their plans to disregard accreditation and slowly change open campuses to certificate programs? Could be, but I don't think they plan to share any of their strategic plans with all of you. Are they making decisions that are grossly affecting the lives of students, faculty, and staff? Absolutely, and that s---s. But it's business as usual to them and honestly, I think they know exactly what they are doing.

Stop groveling and try and respect yourself. Whatever DCEH does it will be in their interest and not yours. You can either ride along to the end or leave.

There are many jobs available outside of DCEH. You are just too lazy to look.

Exorcism. That is what you need if “honored” to work for BR, DCF and AofG. They’re a cult, a Jim Jones level cult.

Higher ups have never cared what faculty think at EDMC or DCEH.

I’d like to see the schools change for the better. The higher-ups are the biggest reason we lose great instructors, due to the workload. If we focused on providing an education similar to other schools, we’d have a standing chance. They treat these schools like high school, down to calling students when they fail to attend. Instead, treat them like college students and we will attract college students. Provide quality education that focuses on job requirements, and let the students that fail to meet those marks go. The numbers will dwindle originally, but maybe we’d actually be taken seriously. There are incredibly talented students and faculty being held down due to the school’s reputation due to lack of consistency.
