This made national news the other day so they are making traction finally.
Not afraid of the big bad wolf (Ginni and cronies) anymore. About time.
What is sinking IBM is their own unfair corrupt grading system.
Multiple findings turning out to be a major nightmare audit for big blue.
Do some reading or youtubing to get more details, its saucy and really sheds the truth on IBM.
Hope they get millions out of IBM for all the turmoil they have caused.
Anyone who continues to posts "proud IBMer" is a true blue loser.
It's possible to like working at IBM if you don't look beyond your own small team. But any day the ax could fall and your little world could be destroyed.
The people still harp get it’s a great place to work are clearly showing signs of Stockholm Syndrome. I left after 22 years on my own accord and the sense of release on the day I told my manager was enormous. It’s a perfect storm of poor executive leadership, a lack of investment or innovation (that matters) and a relentless cost-cutting program to prop up the share price has left a thin veneer on an empty shell. Sam then Ginni have lined their own nests and in the process have ruined an iconic company, the IBM brand and the livelihoods of many many thousands of loyal employees along the way. Thomas Watson would be fuming.
And to think some dopes still stick up for IBM like it's a great place to work.
I believe this is the reason IBM is offering some areas the "transition to retirement". They are able to get older employees off the books in 1-3 years and they do not have to lay them off. They enhance the t2r by guaranteeing that anyone taking the t2r will not be involved in any future resource action. A good way to get older workers to leave without laying them off.
There are thousands more US employees who left on their own after being demoted or otherwise discriminated against. Numerous other countries too. The CEO has some explaining to do. There have been countless "projects" on her watch.
Good day to short IBM stock.
IBM is concerned and should be. Blatant age discrimination based on my experience. This is not the only firm pursuing law suits for age, just the first one to do so via class action.
It is about time! Hope the CEO is dragged through the mud.
