With the exception of HR, executive leadership has disappeared. The only leader talking to us is HR, guess what that means.

CA World is cancelled, for a variety of reasons. Two of the most likely is we can’t commit to any roadmaps in Enterprise software and most of the CA World staff would be fired shortly after the conference. Outside of Mainframe CA could not commit to any roadmaps - so a conference would have been too risky

Broadcom only appears to be interested in Mainframe and patent trolling. The only open hiring positions are engineering positions in BU’s rumored to be up for sale

There has not been a single piece of good news since July 11th.
Please realize, if you haven’t already, that everyone outside of mainframe engineering is in trouble. Sales, services, legal, GIS, SaaS, finance, marketing, support, and common services will all experience 75-90 percent cuts in 6 months post close.
If you have a lot of severance or RSU’s, consider telling your VP you prefer getting let go day 1. The transition scenario is not as attractive as one might think. Broadcom might rebadge you as a Wipro employee and there is no guarantee severance or RSUs carry over. They might also look for ways to drive you out by forcing you to work West Coast hours, commuting to an untenable location, unrealistic performance management goals, or selling your BU to a private equity fund. At best you will be on edge week to week wondering when you get fired with 12 weeks transition bonus to show for it.
