Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Losing money was the plan

When I read this it sounded crazy to me, I admit, but giving the state that we’re in, nothing else to do but to hope that this really was a part of the plan and if it was that the plan works.Either way, profits are dropping, that’s a fact, and if you ask me, declining of profits over time always results in some sort of reductions.

I know a few engineers from several companies who were at ECOC 2018 and if the plan was to sc-ape by until 400G rolls out in Q1/Q2 2019 when we will turn everything around, then were are sunk. According to my friends, the push is for 200G because the networks aren't ready for 400G, so many companies will be delaying 400G purchases until Q1 2020 at the earliest. I have seen some general statements about the delay of 400G inside the company as well.

So, have the shifted the amazing plan to compensate? If so, does that mean more layoffs to make up for the increased length of time we will be suffering decreased revenue?

Ok, maybe the CxOs have a grand plan. If so, why are we hearing about this now from a speech at the CFO forum by a new lawyer?

I think this is a stock booster. This also looks like is a sponsored write-up probably written by JNPR marketing.

Some plan lol! Don’t meet plan for two years, slowly develop a new product for the enterprise that may or may not be late to market, while basically cutting price significantly to win deals. Whoever put that strategy into place is a genius right?

If this was a plan, someone should bring it up in Q2 earnings call. Maybe that could have turned the JNPR 10% dip to a hop.
