Heard there is a hiring freeze in SDS. I'm wondering if this a precursor to layoffs or a mechanism to avoid them. How can the company continue to stay afloat if they continue to incur debt as a result of operating costs?

The hiring freeze was confirmed by the president during Q&A at the last SDS all hands.
I haven’t heard of any layoffs, there are still open reqs

OK, another freaking acronym from Dell. For people that don't know what the SDS acronym stands for can someone please post what division(s) are having a freeze? I'm liking fir a job internally as my division is under the firing scope and would like to know what division is possibly hiring.
