Even if effective date is Nov 15, they’ll generally expect termed folks to get stuff handed in and leave then. I’m definitely heading in to the office Wednesday regardless of what my email says.

It's my understanding that if you're laid off on Wednesday you receive notice on Wednesday and your last day is Wednesday. They don't want laid off people hanging around for a week.
