Another reason why CA went down the drain

A tweet 2 hours ago

“Congratulations to our very own, @AnnaGriffinNow, SVP Corporate marketing who will be recognized at the 2018 Moves Power Women Awards Gala. @NYMoves advocates for women's rights, social fairness and equal opportunities. #NYMoves

NY Moves is a progressive lifestyle magazine that offers a provocative view of society. ... Congratulations to our very own, @AnnaGriffinNow, SVP Corporate marketing who will be recognized at the 2018 Moves Power Women Awards Gala. @NYMoves advocates for women's rights, social fairness ...

I wonder if Anna will still be employed as of this Friday night when the awards are held. Doubtful.

When companies get so focused on social issues they lose their way. For those who make the move to Broadcom you will see how companies should be run. Pay well, minimum c-ap and focus on business, now window dressing.

CA Marketing plastered a thick layer of noxious sticky varnish over the real product value, employed teen magazine like marketing tactics, endowed themselves with royalty status (acted like princesses). Glad to see that all be flushed down the drain at last.

Ah, CA marketing. Who could forget the famous "Turn the logo from green and blue to black and white". Sheer brilliance.

Or, the babbling CNN ads seen in airport where you couldn't even fathom what CA did?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAszOzC7z9M What was that?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbGuSCORkAo

etc.

Best of all are the horrible change of names

Clarity -> PPM PPM is the class of software, numnuts

Nimsoft -> UIM Unified Infrastructure manager? Universal Infrastructure Monitor?

Rally -> Agile Central. People liked Rally.

CA always changed- 2-3 syllable googleable names (yahoo, google, amazon, verizon, sprint, directTV, FioS, SevOne, Salesforce) to confusing boring names.

At least Veracode defended itself.

The world revolves not around Broadcom, CA or any one company but the difference each person makes.

The poster will learn this lesson perhaps some day or get lost in the trash heap of history.

The company most singularly responsible for Broadcom’s revenue success is concerned with social issues. You BCom geeks really do have an inflated view of your importance, don’t you?
