Could someone clarify what will happen.
So around November 7th people are told if they get to stay or have to leave?
But for this who are told to stay , they won’t know at what Salary until 45 days later?
Is this true?

Just signed on with CA in January after a year of unemployment, this entire situation is messed up. I'm in my 60s and companies show interest until they learn of my age, the joys of getting older.
Every active employee and contract worker has access to Yammer. Until tomorrow anyway when Yammer is shut down. You clearly are not an active employee then. Almost every question on this site has been answered on Yammer with pretty good detail and consistency. It’s ironic that the thing most people asked about was business class travel and if they could keep their laptop. They took the focus from real issues and focused on garbage.
I do not have access to yammer. And how do you know salaries will not be cut? Is that an official message from Broadcom?

Nobody's salary will be cut
If I understand it correctly, the later determination/communication of salary and titles will be for those on the STAY list. Those on transition will keep current salary for as long as they’re kept on, and if they don’t get fired for cause or quit before that’s up, will receive severance and the transition bonus at the end.
wow. So the lucky few that survive the first round won’t know if they can afford their mortgage until 45 days later.... CA was tuff when they took over companies and a lot of people where let go... But I am not aware of anyone who survived being told to reduce their salaries
Yeah that's true. Compansation, designation will be communicated around mid December.
