Thread regarding Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. layoffs

Jacobs is in a lot of trouble

Their largest contract is only extended through its first option until Feb 2020. There's rumors that NASA won't be picking up Jacobs again for the 2nd (and last option), if they do decide to extend it. I suspect that Lockheed, Boeing, or Leidos will most likely win. At that point say goodbye to Jacob's. If that happends, there are usually provisions which prevent employees currently working active projects from being layed off, and instead will vouch to keep at least 90% of the workforce (with critical projects given priority first). So will layoffs coming next year? Most likely not. You can probably guarantee a small workforce reduction in 2020 though.

Previous post is true. I watched two employees with 25+ years walked out with one cardboard box today. A total of 6 layoffs but watching them lay people off that have given their adult life, including time and good work was worse than working for CH2M HILL after they bought TERA Environmental Consultants. Poor management making poor decisions, laying of the wrong people.

And if the shutdown lasts months, the place will be empty.

Not only that, but the fake concern they spew for investor and market consumption is nauseating. People achieve 30 years, 25 years etc. of service and get absolutely zero recognition from the company. Not even a simple email. D are we now adding social engineering to the portfolio?

People are jumping ship first opportunity, and fast!
