Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Is it Larry Mea Culpa or Larry Culp-able?

Larry we’ve been listening to you during your first few weeks apologize about how complex company GE is and we have to give you time to figure it all out. Meanwhile it seems like you’ve been very culpable in learned very quick how hand out executive “set for life” lottery tickets. Case in point the latest bonus bonanza for John Flannery. Flannery‘s a nice guy and he deserves something, but why not the same as everybody else ...... one weeks pay for every year of service, not over two times his salary and not a pension over 10x his base salary! Where’s the accountability in that? Meanwhile we have to grovel on our hands and knees and beg at VP level to get trips approved to go to support customers on multimillion dollar projects. Something not right Karry, and you can ignore it and be like the rest or show real leadership.....the choice is yours ...... be a leader or just another executive lottery agent!!!!

When I first started in Services my manager told me to "travel as needed to support the customer. We're all adults here." Now, if the customer asks for support I refer them to my manager. By time I get approval for the travel usually the customer says never mind. Missed billable hours, missed customer relations, miss opportunity.

amen. and as one who totally agrees with the poster, just understand Larry and the rest of them take care of themselves. and in his case he doesn't need anyone to take care of him anymore as the Board already did with his guaranteed $80 million even if he puts the company out to pasture.
