If mg actually meant that horseshit, he would have fought for his employees. Instead he gets 50 million and his employees get laid off via email. EMAIL!

I don’t think many of you are being fair.

Many of us have developed all kinds of muscles. I for one have one of the tightest sphincters in my neighborhood, from my a-- clinching every time Bikeboy brought me to the basement of the Modern Software Factory

The letter might as well have been written by Adolf Hitler and said "Thanks to all your hard work we have cleansed Germany and it's conquered territories of inferior genes and look forward to a better world".

It's not intended to be read by the ones being herded into the gas chambers.

“returning our Company to growth”

CA’s net income FELL each year Bikeboy was in the CEO seat. Net income for FY’18 was about half of that years ago.

Revenue the last 3 full fiscal years was lower than FY’15.

Maybe the “growth” he refers to is the growth in his bank account after the golden parachute check is cashed? His payout represents 10% of net income for the entire company last year.

It is a long letter. Here's the summarized version.

"Thank you for your hard work and showing up all day, everyday. Without your dedication, I would not have been able to sell CA and make 50 million.

Keep riding,

Bikeboy"

Dear Team CA.

After more than forty-years as a software company delivering value for shareholders, we have reached a critical point in the company’s evolution. We will no longer be an independent company, but our collective experiences and the legacy of CA will live forever. I want to take this moment to extend my personal thanks to each of you. The full story of CA is an impressive one and returning our Company to growth and to market leading solutions is something that each of us played a role in and something that we collectively all own ……. forever.

You are an extraordinary group of people and leading this company is the privilege of my lifetime. Thank you for your perseverance, determination, intellect and the heart you put into being a part of CA.

When you think about CA and formulate your personal CA story, keep in mind the challenges and obstacles we overcame and the profound professionalism that became our hallmark. We drove profitability and growth while continuously delivering top-tier solutions in the face of the shifting landscape, business model, and intense competition. The industry pundits say the hallmark of great teams and companies is the capacity to continually reinvent to compete, and I would say that CA is the very definition of that capability.

When you take a moment to consider the exponential impact of our collective work, it is extraordinary. Forty-year-old software companies are not the norm. It takes great products and significant determination to grow and evolve as CA did over four-plus decades. I want to expressly note that the underpinning of all we have done is because of our people and the culture we created and fostered together.

Our customer first attitude drove innovation in established markets and inspired new products and incubations in others. We gained the trust of our clients by consistently demonstrating our value, and we earned our reputation as a true partner. I am so proud of the grit and determination that springs from every corner of CA.

Together, we developed a muscle that drove this company, and that instinct and ability will stay with each of us forever. Never lose sight of how your contributions made an impact, and how they helped CA become the market leader that it is today. I hope that everyone will use what we built together at CA as a launching point to the next adventure in your careers, wherever your talents take you.

I have nothing but warm feelings and respect for our company and our team and I will always cherish my time here with all of you. Be prideful about CA and your specific roles and how you performed. That will be in your hearts and minds forever. Mine too.

Thank you, Team CA.

Mike.
