Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

So, how long do you think this can continue?

How long can Intel go without a CEO? At least not an interim one. I'll be honest, I was certain we'd know BK's successor by now. It's a bit surprising it's taking them this long to find an adequate replacement (God knows it can't be difficult to find somebody better than him, pretty much everybody fits that category.)

I wonder what's the reason...

Proposal:TMG leader exec APB == 0.

TMG direct staff and -1. == 0.5 score

TMG below == corporate average

lets see some accountability.

A deal has been done with Murthy and now the desperate search continues as the Titanic continues to sail captainless after hitting the 10nm iceberg, the ship has broken in two and dangles precariously as the Hail Mary on 10nm is played out. If it plays out as a miracle 4 years late, be certain many more heads will roll, if it sinks everyone’s in TMG perishes except those that escaped in the few lifeboats

Realistically, currently Murthy operates as the CEO anyway. The real question is will he still be there if he doesn't get the official title.

Company at a cross roads and rudderless, the BOD needs to be fired!

All the desirable candidates won’t to touch the job.

All the candidates that desire the job are unqualified or not adequate to make the right hand turn.

What will happen, BoD after much deliberation will settle on a compromise CEO, he will know it, the employees will know it, the industry will know it and laugh at the new CEO, but he will be the big cheese and laugh all the way to he bank cashing in his options and than checkout in a few years rich while Intel flounders, exactly the GE lineage since Jack left.

BoD really bungled this one!

Intel is stuck in neutral. People may say things are running fine without a CEO, but Wall Street expects the company to have a leader. Swan has said he doesnt want the job, so he's just a placeholder. The only valid reason to not have a CEO yet is that a major change is imminent, such as the new CEO will have product design, and MR will have the (spun off) factories and TD. The BOD otherwise is just playing with itself and looking for some miracle worker.

Look to IBM or GE as a best case situation and Kodak or Motorola as a more likely outcome for Intel, headless with bean counter bob is a terrible status. 4 months is an eternity in the fast moving technology world to be leaderless and with no unified corporate strategy, simply amazing how far it has fallen

What turnaround? The leadership looks to be doubling down on the corruption and nepotism. Middle management is dominated by lifer careerists who are unemployable elsewhere so they have all the incentive to preserve their crony empires and milk the revenue stream as long as they can.

Intel is headed towards guaranteed obsolescence, there is no avoiding it now.

Intel at an inflection point, now who will be selected to drirve a turnaround, or let each division be beancounted and destroyed by internal and cross division bickering. What an absolute failure from the BoD in planning and execution😂

With Bob, the company is on auto-pilot. Just coasting along with no human direction.

Still better than BK (or Murthy).

We went from only the paranoid survive to only the corrupt survive.

Absolutely disgusting.

Just imagine how far Intel will have sunk from the fabulous founding fathers to potentially elevating the Indian Godfather to CEO. Any employee still wishing to have a career should be out looking for it. Remaining at Intel will be their death sentence.

Each group has an effective leader, now that Murthy took over TMG, so no urgent need.

More than 4 months finding a suitable CEO candidate. Intel BoD is a complete and absolute joke.
