Next week will be rough for many of us, but at least it will bring some much needed clarity and end this horrible waiting game (or at least I hope so - November 7 better turn out to be true.)
I just feel sorry for people who still refuse to accept the reality and believe nothing will change. Next week will certainly come as a shock to them.
VW6L9Rm-1pkp: probably it is not the right moment to be interviewed for another job, as our situation is still unsure. They are out there, just waiting what's going on. They don't know if you are kind of stay term or trans , and then it's hard to formulate an offer.... go to linkedin and check when and why somebody found you in their searches. In the meantime, be aware that a lot of people fired these last years are working elsewhere with comparable conditions, and hot all of them are kind of excellent.... but they had the ability to navigate a large company
Not a developer but I do have the latest skills in my role/sector with plenty of examples. I don't get it.
@VW6L9Rm-1mfg Should have built up your skills instead of letting yourself decay in a legacy software company. What did you expect, that everyone is salivating for mainframers?
I want it to be over but Im scared. I applied to so many places in last 3 months but zero progress all rejection no interviews past fkking recruiter. Sometimes I get messages about bs contracting gig that pays 1/3 of what I make and Im in a supposed hot market. Redid resume few times but maybe im not "diverse" enough for the typical software companies out there.. that or having CA on resume is toxic? i dont fkkn know what to do
No... I am not nervous. I can get a job in a heartbeat. I'm only mildly concerned about whether I get a severance or not.
