Immelt one appalling CEO. He should have been sacked over sub prime mortgages. Poor acquisition and business strategy. The only thing I don't blame him for is the twin towers one week in his tenure

BOD is elected for a term by shareholders. BOD represents shareholders but some misguided activists like Trian can destroy shareholders value.

You can’t. You must not be very smart, the board of directors call the shots, they keep the CEO in line. Although the old BOD didn’t with Immelt, we have new blood now.
