One would expect working at GE Digital to not be the strongest item to put on a resumé, but time and time again, former executives from GE Digital seem to be landing good jobs at other firms. I had a conversation with one such executive who was hesitant to talk about his experience at GE Digital but had taken on a general manager role at another prominent tech company.

GE has nurtured an undeserved reputation for 'honing leaders' - this is unsubstantiated smoke and mirrors from Welch's days. I have hired and promptly fired a handful of GE alumni (at Director/Sr Director level) over the last 13 years in healthcare digital roles. The challenge is these people do present well in interviews and fully leverage the (now exposed) GE 'brand' (six sigma and all): however, they fail at delivery & execution.

This article says they still fail anyways....
People at that level have a good network
While gE digital has their fair share of problems; don’t kid yourselves on how backa$$ward other companies are and behind in there digitalizing process/journey.
This isn't unique to GED. Most companies tend to hire/promote good politicians who talk and schmooze well, but cannot execute. They're called empty suits. You'll even find this at top tech companies.
I observed GE Digital "management layers" as a monumental disease and constant failure of its own. Like a pile of rotten apples within a grocery, "infecting" the rest of the stock and driving out the customers due their smell....
When I see GE Digital execs at a place, I know neither to invest in or work at the place. I've never met such a team of impractical and incapable yes men.
People are still brainwashed GE is a good name. Capitalize on it. We will all need to.
