Nearly all of the salary jobs were cut in KC also. 5 Salary to remain but are either leaving, or taking a 15% cut and then later, another 25% pay cut to keep their current job role. KC plant will have about 45 person head count when it is over. It isn't over yet. Is it just me? I say get out while you can still hold your head up.
1/6/2020 Huge layoff at Goleta/Santa Barbara facilities..40 % reduction as company struggles to make optical component for cell phone.
"What we got told was since 2006 the housing industry has never recovered. That they have 500,000,000 lbs of insulation sitting in warehouses."
You should ask how they are recording revenue. Is it recorded as a sale when it moves from a manufacturing facility to a distribution warehouse or is it still recorded as finished goods inventory?
They must of gave you guys the run around like they always do! 2006 is basically 13 years ago so how in the heck could they go this long with no recovery and hold all that volume?!
I'm sure many Chiefs have stayed! Indians are getting wiped out little by little especially once the so called automated baggers get put in/if they even get put it. Two front office salary people in Santa Clara are being cut in the 1st quarter of the year but funny thing is they were both near/or in retirement age. They still have people working c-appy hours and doing more work, sometimes work for two!
Sorry for the layoffs!! We've had cuts over in Santa Clara as well, the company has shut down M line for the time being since March... Funny thing is we are still running 7 days a week with one line when material is just sitting in Warehouses. 500,000,000 is a whole lot of material just to be sitting so like you said, what the H*LL is OC sales department doing/ not doing! Never understood why OC would run 7 days a week and take away family time with these crazy hours when they could be running 5 days a week with weekends off to lessen the burden and ease the inventory levels!
In Kansas City K5 Line in being shut down. 90% workforce shown the door. What we got told was since 2006 the housing industry has never recovered. That they have 500,000,000 lbs of insulation sitting in warehouses. That it wasn't our performance, just the industry is too slow to maintain the workforce. Just gott'a ask yourself what in the H**l are the OC Sales Dept doing? or should I say NOT DOING!
Layoffs in Newark, Ohio. It was a bloodbath.
Massive lay offs for Kansas City plant. The main line is currently going down indefinitely.
I wonder how many salary jobs are being cut ? To many chiefs , not enough Indians !!!
Meanwhile Thaman keeps his cushy retirement job earning millions. This is why they are losing money, totally out of touch with employees and people who buy the products
Out of 217 employees 70 are getting laid off in Santa clara. They say it's company wide every plant is making massive lay offs/cuts. Supposedly it's because a competitor took business away from us and housing market down turn but who knows. This job s---s.
