Having just watched the webcast, I'm left with the feeling that leadership has no idea whats happening even one level below them.
This is something you are just figuring out now? The way this company has been run for the past several years should have made that glaringly obvious. With this management, we are doomed.
I had a major incident that I reported to HR and I feel shunned ever since. It may be that I am getting crazy or it may be for real. Anyhow, i have 18 months until retire, I surely hope I make it over the finish line. I am so fed up with everything I just hope things play out in a quiet manner.

The idea that layoffs at this level are somehow coordinated by low level managers is asinine. The last layoffs were position eliminations and had nothing to do with anyone in particular and the effected people's "managers" (first and second level) found out the day of the layoffs.
I feel bad for the folks who lost their positions, and I understand the need to believe that somehow the layoffs were dishonest, but this "if you speak up" line is just silly.
I don’t agree that those that speak up are immediately removed. Not saying it doesn’t happen, just saying that’s not the main issue. The main issue goes back to leadership in the company. They clearly have no idea how to run an actual company. All they know to do is hire overpriced consultants and follow everyone else. When they do make a decision it’s always for cost related reasons and then they wonder why everything is failing. I wouldn’t buy furniture at Wal-Mart if I was planning on it lasting forever.
Management is not doomed. The hard working people are doomed. The last layoff kicked out people who understood the business and needs. Management got rid of them to make a point. If you speak up....you will be let go. Don't make waves... don't think...play the game to move up. This will never change.... Sorry for being honest.....
