UHG mints money, yet they do not pay employees well

There are benefits for fraudsters. A choice HR worker had her briefcase invaded by her husband. Her husband and brother in law profited nicely from the acquisition of Surgical Care Affiliates. Even HR workers should know that INSIDER TRADING IS A CRIME. But she was SO NICE. She was SO SWEET. She was rated 5 for Integrity on the Hemsley Integrity Scale. On that Scale Enron got 5, Arthur Anderson got 5, and Bill McGuire got 5. See SEC v. Hengen 0:18-cv-03135. SEC v Dragojlovic 2:18-cv- 09456. Culture may take a long time. Ha Ha Ha!
OP is right. I had a great interview with UHG in MN. Manager and Sr. Director really wanted me to join the team but I got an offer from HR guy from Texas almost $3K below base salary I make now. When I asked if he knows what I make. He replied: "We don't know and don't care. This is our offer and you have 48 hours to think about." Over my 25 years in the IT field, I have never heard HR response like this. I thanked him and called my recruiter and told him that. The recruiter was furious as him, manager and Sr. director were aware of salaries in MN. After another discussion with Team manager and Sr. Director, I was asked to call that same HR guy, never heard that I have to call him instead of HR calling you. So I did, he was p-ss-d and gave me another offer with a couple more $K. I told him that I have another offer from another company with about $7K more in a total package. He started explaining how good the stock purchase program is at UHG. The bonus program is there but he couldn't explain how it works as I'm really good with numbers. He was getting angrier by the minute. After me asking if this last offer is max he can do, his response was "Let me put it this way. NOT A PENNY MORE." He also said that it wouldn't fair if we would pay you much more than other applicants. I went with other company. What this HR guy did is screw the team, team manager and Sr. Director from getting a good employee. Team manager told me that they short of 4 members. They lost multiple lead developers. She said to her worries that it's not that they lost developers but that they lose knowledge. I did ask my recruiter about how many candidates they have supplied for this position. He said, the total of 6 including you. 4 were rejected by the team and 1 rejected UHG. They can't fulfill the team. I'm really sad as I was willing to get less as I think I saw a growth opportunity with the team. UHG will continue to lose candidates and employees. They are too big to fail.
Congratulations UNH Troll. This mo--nic entry has a morsel of truth. There is at will employment. That said, this company prides itself on data analytics. This post is true. The company doesn’t give bonuses. It engages in withholds. This is an old HMO tactic. Be a good fellow and do as you are told then we will give you back some of your own money. That is laughable. This is Rule by intimidation. The joke is on the troll. Intimidated workforces perform terribly. Tone counts. The Shadow of the Leader Counts. Earnings grew 28 per cent. There were no problems to report. Engagement is up. NPS is 98. The troll is a mo--n.
Care to elaborate? 220k employees company wide. If the pay is horrible pretty sure they would be droves. Don't like the pay, find a job somewhere else. No one forced you to take the job there, you chose to work there. So either do something to get a better paying job in the company, find a new job, or go find something else to do.
