Is it okay for managers to pay employees with penny merchandise? I’ve noticed that one employee who was fired is back working, but a manager said she was being paid “under the table” with the penny merchandise.

Sounds like what was going on in Delaware County PA. Dumb dumb doesn't even take the store stickers off the merchandise he sells at the flea markets. And please don't even try to even say this is bs. There's plenty of footage.

This is absolutely true. This is a terminated employee coming back to work (in Kmart T-shirt and all) and using the store manager’s codes for the register and those handheld scanner things. The district manager was in the other day and was asking employees if they had seen this person working again, but asking associates not to let the manager know as ASO was investigating.
The former employee in question is friends with the managers, but was fired after getting into a physical altercation with a customer. The employee was fired and was given trepass papers not to the return. I guess he runs flea market booths and use the merchandise given to him from the manager to sell at this booths. Guy is a weirdo too
