Those SOB’s laid me off a few years back in a very sneaky way after 16 years of service. It’s a shame companies are letting Robots take over human jobs but just wait until those Robots turn on them.

Technically, it is voluntary if you choose voluntary retirement over getting laid off of fired, though that is really in name only. Good luck. I think there may have been a lot of people in the same situation.

I was laid off January 14th. They told me that the other team member that was also laid off was "also eligible for early retirement." REALLY? Then they published on a client facing website that I left voluntarily. LIE!

I admit to being curious to see what will happen in 2019. A lot of good, long term employees left, or were pushed out in 2018. Though termed "voluntary" there is not always an option. I hope that March, 2019 is not like March, 2018 was for many of us.

My guess is the Probusiness employees go next. ADP has tried killing it off since before they bought it out. It's the best product they have but to prove a point they still want it gone.

Yep. Keep your dignity and sanity. Forget ADP and their crazy-making tactics and managers! Run for the hills.

If ADP would even let you take a pay cut, then your salary would be about 33% of what it was. That would be too ridiculous to accept. But that is what the replacements for the "overpaid" people who are being eliminated are getting. In my opinion, it is just best to leave this weird company and let it die in peace on its own from the wacky decisions made by an incompetent top management team.

I was let go in June as a 'layoff' after 24 years of service. During my exit review I told HR Corp in Roseland that I would be willing to take a pay cut just to stay at ADP since I was in the 'RedZone' retirement window and did not what to leave. I would accept any respectable position and work just as hard everyday for ADP as I did for 24 years.......The bitc* from HR just about laughed in my face and told me to 'go online and reapply' to positions!

I don't think so.........bitc*!!

Lmao at the poster that said the Employees should take a pay cut. Do you really think that the EEs are highly paid? I went years with stellar reviews and the company line was don't go higher than 3% if you were lucky. It's only the last two or three years that they finally implemented s pay for performance and thats still a joke. Yes I did go thru one or two years were there was no merit because the company didn't make money. So no, I'll take the package before I take a cut.

ADP should consider asking current employeees who maybe targeted for layoffs if they would take a pay cut to stay with the company. I think many longtime employees would accept a wage cut instead of starting over with another company.

March is the last rebound of VERP. Will there be layoffs afterwards, I'd say yes. I think it will be global as opposed too mostly US. Don't be a director without direc reports. The OEI that occurred about eight years ago was based on an algorithm, I wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar. Then again, with all the folks that took early retirement is it really necessary. They must be saving money, although customer satisfaction is probably going down.

Working for ADP now is nuts, absolutely nuts. Too much of a pressure cooker. It didn't used to be so bad.

Sounds like "having a bad marriage" and looking for a replacement spouse before the divorce. Talk about "married for SECURITY, and not really for LOVE." Have a little faith in your ADP leadership. They LOVE you, right?

There is enough time between now and March to make substantial financial investments/choices and budget accordingly. No one, who has been financially responsible, should fear March. Keep your skills up, do your job, don't over-indulge during the holidays, and remain valuable. You may be spared. Fear will kill you, if you allow it.

The layoffs and terminations will continue. The rest of the associates who "earn too much money" will be eliminated, as well as most of the home shored ones. ADP doesn't believe in their employees working from home anymore or in the ones who are "overpaid".
