Buyouts being given out to selected employees in my location that meet the '80' number. Total years of service plus age. For example, If you are 60 years old with 20 years of service you are eligible. Haven't seen the package yet, supposedly 2 weeks of pay per year of service with a maximum of 78 weeks paid. No full dollar buyouts and management cannot deny someone who wants to take the package. This has never happened before in two other buyouts that I have been through.
Look out for a 'real fun' expose via a reputable Entertainment Industry news outlet. Items will include fraud, contract violation and continuous harassment to those who exercise 'what are supposed to be' protected rights in the state of CA. "Move over bacon, now there's something meatier!"
1500 jobs across the board today
My boss just said he knows of "a lot of stuff coming down the pike." We were talking about my group potentially being able to do away with a position when he mentioned this. Heard that someone on the West Coast said merger with Viacom was imminent. End of Q1, specifically. Anyone else hear anything????
