In mid 2018, Jacobs had acquired, Integrated with CH2M, with a strong workforce of 74,000, and three work streams:
1) Aerospace, Technology, Environmental and Nuclear (ATEN)
2) Buildings, Infrastructure and Advanced Facilities (BIAF)
3) Energy, Chemicals and Resources (ECR)

The latter was acquired by Worsley Parsons this year.

So is ECR 22,000 staff strong? As the latest Jacobs investor report shows staff of 52,000 (Oct 2019).

Its quiet a large staff fluctuation in one year?

No job security in this firm if you work in an admin role where jobs are sent to Poland and India regularly. US workers are bailing as they are tired of working unpaid OT to correct the mistakes of cheap foreign labor who get a pass with their $10 hr cost.

Their largest contract is only extended through its first option until Feb 2020. There's rumors that NASA won't be picking up Jacobs again for the 2nd (and last option), if they do decide to extend it. I suspect that Lockheed, Boeing, or Leidos will most likely win. At that point say goodbye to Jacob's. If that happends, there are usually provisions which prevent employees currently working active projects from being layed off, and instead will vouch to keep at least 90% of the workforce (with critical projects given priority first). So will layoffs coming next year? Most likely not. You can probably guarantee a small workforce reduction in 2020 though.
