Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

GIS Layoffs

140 folks were laid off in GIS. They axed a bunch of contractors. as well. I do not think anyone in PMO remains, I think they had about 10 people there - they are all gone. As of now, no impact for Help Desk people, they seem to not be interested in reducing headcount there - they are shortstaffed anyway - so no surprises here.

This was a massive cut for GIS

It looks like B will host everything in the cloud using Google services all around. So the only you need is access to the internet. By this - who needs GIS at all?

What you need is a browser running. That's all! But is this true for a software company to work in Teams, to chat, discuss and running test-installs across real networks. Looks like B is not truly aware about the support and services for a software company which is tied together with pre and post-sales. That's what we did all time.

This is true, I am hearing 150+ in GIS but 140 is close enough.

This was a really sad day for anyone who works at or with GIS.

All the best!
