Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Will you get tapped on the shoulder next week?

Folks who report to a director will get "tapped on the shoulder" by thier director next week.

Supervisors and leads the following week.

Woker bees after that.

It's a school yard pick!

Good luck everyone!

I agree with the person below me. Despite a long record of service with above average performance I was laid off. I fit the profile perfectly as I was approaching 50, not in a senior role, and was getting expensive to keep around. It wss nothing personal but it still hurt.

With few exceptions, you need to be in a fairly senior role , and protected by ELT , OR in a more junior role, liked by your boss and VP, and cheap for the company (which usually means under 50).

Also, despite all the talk about diversity and inclusion, men still have the edge over women. Performance does not matter one bit.

Anyone have any suggestions for who to call in Windsor or London for employment law? Depending upon your package it is worth seeking legal advice especially if you are over 50 and have years of service in. Think about it as one last way to screw Enbridge corporate.

They don’t mean anything at all but they want the directors to get all their direct reports scores in...before they walk them out, that way the direct reports that stay have their ratings in the system.

Are you referring to the EGD-UG merger and the process at both utilities? Second if we get canned after the review do we still receive STIP or is Enbridge going to be a douchbag to deny us even that?

How you do on a performance review means nothing. I was a consistent higher than average performer and I was kicked to the curb.

I used to think they meant something. Now I know better.

They won’t make any announcements until performance reviews are done since the leadership doesn’t care about people (and haven’t in a few years) it’s about the bottom line, they just lost total sight of how happy, engaged employees help that so in essence they’ve screwed themselves and the company.

Wrong. Directors announcement won’t be until the week of Nov 5. Most likely 6 or 7. After that good luck!
