Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

GE and the 301 want dedicated employees but

The Union and Company lie and give you the shaft. I hope I am picked in the next layoff. This place is such a joke it is sad that so many want the place to close. I am praying I am laid off and get what I can from this joke of a place before contract time. That is even if there is one. The next layoff can not come soon enough.

End the misery and lay the Tempary Rates off and next contract hire F for (Falure) Rates to save GE at $12 an hour. See the quality go down the toilet the.

I’m at the bottom the seniority list and I know more layoffs are coming. Hopefully it is a holiday gift from GE and our Union to me.

My Resume is locked and loaded!

@VPWdTzQ-1itl Depends on where you work at the arsenal. Half the people I know love it. The other half hate where they work. There are parts of Schenectady I want nothing to do with and luckily I don't have to for right now. I hope it stays that way.

I would love to see corp. send a group to sit down with the hourly from the floor and listen to what's been going on. Then return to the board room and tell them the truth! Then publicly slash all the salary that have decided there personal pockets are more important than the company product they over see! There is a reason process's have been put in place. There is a reason methods are to be followed on said process's. For some over educated, or under educated a-- hat to come along and change things or force cob jobs thru the shop just to make it look like shop is moving foreword or for lack of knowledge on their part, is a sad situation to be in. At the same time, 301 officials should be in the shop and documenting said things and pushing them thru national to the corp. board room as well. These salary s---ers wanna play hard ball, then play along and go over the local heads!! There is a large group of hourly and salary that would like to make a career of working in Schenectady, if things don't change REAL fast, that cant be possible, on ANY level!!

Aside from having to start out all over again from the bottom at the arsenal after having already gone through that at Schenectady, the ones I've talked to are pretty happy and not stressed out. They have years worth of work and it's not like the work is going to be sent to another country to be done. The difference in pay or longer commute seems to be the biggest complaints I've heard. They are just as jacked up as we are!

You are a weak minded individual. If it’s so bad here you need to quit immediately so you can begin looking for something that suits you better. But instead your posting online about how miserable you are, what a joke.

who really cares? what are there, 800 of you or so? Vs the 280000 employees who work for the rest of GE? Honestly you guys could disappear and it wouldn't even be a blip on culps radar
