God help you if that is the case. I can’t see any of these companies honoring severance outside of India. Not sure if they’ll be contractually bound to honor RSU’s - read any transition offer with a fine tooth comb.

As you know, some emails from top management sent this evening. Officially we are in the market open for a new IS.

Wipro/Tata/Cognizant.

My vote for Cognizant.

VOWvs10-qij is a sales: 100k plus in the SOW but Services has 0 margin. Common sense: 100k are not plus since services has no margin.

Again: clients only want installation and configuration. Common sense: thanks to the b---s--- they are told by Sales and presales they Think it is just about a configuration.

Furthermore: poor implementations. Factual: our software runs in huge environments thanks to services work. Installation is just 0.005% of the work.

And finally: i'll probably be termed, but this Will have a plus at least: stop dealing with these rednecks.

The problem, and it goes back many years, is that the poor quality of the implementation, the product and the process means PMs budget in so much risk dollars that the projects are bloated and expensive. I’ve seen ones with a 30% risk uplift, then another 20% additional risk uplift on top of that. For everything...PM time, architect time, consultant time. Customer wants an install and configure and now they are facing SOWs with $100K plus.

Services has never been profitable for CA. A NOM of zero was seen as a good outcome.

CA should never have been in the services business with all of the top heavy bloat.

Of course Services are not profitable, since CA only has 2-3 services consultants in each country and usually relies on contractors to deliver their contracts for them. If only they hired more people.

All VP,s and higher will be gone Day 1. Hence the radio silence.

Those on active assignments will be put on transition. If a buyer can be found they’ll be offered a role with the buyer, but Services is a loss leader for CA so finding a buyer is going to be tough. Speculation -if I were a buyer I’d wait for Broadcom to close and fire management first, why transition levels of management.

Only ones remaining with Broadcom are those hand picked by the BU to be absorbed in the business unit. Those are people on profitable products Broadcom intends to keep with high utilization rates.
