That’s correct. I wish people would just stop taking their anti-depressants, anxiety meds, and schizophrenic medicine. You don’t need those man made pills and that natural weed plant is just a crutch for you. Trust me and the rest of the people that have been brainwashed by the bias belief of weed. I know we have not went to medical school and don’t know a single thing about mental disorders but we have been raised to hate weed and that’s all we need to know. Those pain pills, blood thinners, diabetic shots, blood pressure meds, sinus medication, all of that stuff is completely unnecessary. Just because some medical doctor says you could benefit from it is absolutely ridiculous. However you better make sure you get your free flu shot even though it has been scientifically proven to not prevent the flu, that doesn’t matter because they spent a lot of money making that new batch and we need to support their efforts.
Your absolutely right. Your analogy is spot on. 85-95% of people taking medications for issues don’t need them. They just take them because they like the taste, or to brag about their migraines, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and all the other completely fake disorders. They are all like look at me with my ADHD, PTSD, or other mental disorder, or oh I’m depressed so I am going to pop this pill or injest this weed. We all know you are making up those symptoms and just wanting to look cool.

It will be just like the pill farms that popped up. There will be docs giving out rx’s For sneezing. Obviously valid reasons for using it. But I’d venture to bet 80% of people who will use t won’t actaully need it.
I love our culture here of just go to work, keep your mouth shut, do what your told, and maybe your boss may like you enough to keep you around. If you speak up or have a different opinion and challenge the norm, you are guaranteed to be let go. And you think someone wanting to use weed to treat an ailment is our issue.
This is not about legal vs illegal. This is about a doctors recomendation to treat an medical issue. Please tell me what doctor recommends alcohol for any medical issue and the state issuing you a license to treat that issue.

Never assume that just because someone supports the use of weed to treat certain issues that they are a user. I have seen first hand the benefits and when given the option of taking a medication from the pharmacy or a natural plant, I would choose the plant every time. I support the use, but have never used it myself. The only reason is that I don’t suffer from anything that requires to take medication.

I don’t care either way. But Whoever posted the below has no clue of how the law works. Educate yourself with how the law looks at one of the 7 states including OK that put employee protection in the new law. Review the recent federal court ruling in Connecticut from a federal judge. As far as showing up high, im curious how the company will distinguish employees coming in medicated on their pr-scrip-ions and someone coming in medicated on weed. As far as being high, or over medicated, don’t assume your going to easily recognize someone. It is not anything like alcohol and seeing someone drunk. Regardless it will only remain federally scheduled less 12 months anyway. You can see all of the discussions about it being the first topic in the 2019 congressional session. I say we stop being biased and spend time trying to stop something that is not stoppable.
Quick lesson for all you tards who think dvn is in the wrong. Federally weed is illegal. Dvn pays federal taxes. Therefore we follow federal laws. Just as every company in every state and the NFL has said. They don’t care what you do in your spare time. But if for whatever reason you test positive (injury/random) whatever you will be handled according to federal law.
People In CO and the various legal states don’t just show up to work high and it’s their right. They test positive they gone. Regardless of reason or card or license or whatever.

Omg who cares. I actually work here and have never seen anything on strata that says our fired if you use it. It states if you get hurt at work or cause someone else to get hurt and you take a piss test (standard after instances) and fail, then you will be handled accordingly. Same as if you were drunk.
