While rumours on this board always predict another "mass layoff day", the truth is that layoffs have been happening continuously on a smaller scale. I think that's how they do it now.... layoffs gradually over a period of time rather than the epic layoff days of yesteryear. You can see the true losses by doing some napkin math using the info in the gender dashboard.
You hit the nail on the head, @VF78baH-8rtx. There is no need for major layoffs that draw negative media attention and drop employee morale when the same thing can be achieved with continuous small scale layoffs that manage to fly under the radar. I think Enbridge found a new system it plans to stick with. Which means that any little semblance of job security we used to have is now completely gone.
