Hiring freeze for centralized groups went into effect around August, all jobs but PaySec, Veracode and APIM were pulled in September, ful hiring freeze went into effect a few weeks ago. Before the announcement there were 500 openings (as promised by BikeBoy) it went to 250pretty quickly the 50 after that.
Future LDP was cancelled, Above and Beyond awards were frozen, new phone purchases and replacements are frozen, CA World was cancelled, day care will be shut down, and all contractor hiring has also been put on hold. Just to recap :-)
Health benefits for survivors of the carnage are getting worse, matching gifts are worse, health care discounts are gone. Not sure about the Pet healthcare coverage.
But don’t worry Broadcom pays very well - they steal talent from Intel, Qualcomm, Apple, Google and Microsoft on a daily basis. Just kidding - Broadcom barely has any openings. To busy buying and firing.
