Tricky Vicky Back In Control

Culp has recognized the need to have experienced leaders for Power and since everyone else has been purged, Vic will be announced new leader of the gas franchise this Friday. No idea what is happening to Russell but word has it he stays in the fold in some capacity.

There never is any announcement. Get used to it. This site is used by retired nobodies.

@-1emu - Good to hear from you again, Mr. Defensive.

I'm sure you're confident that MHPS can hold those numbers for the next 5 or 6 years? You're sure they aren't just a single outlier?

We'll see...

@-2frg: why you bother if you don’t work for either, lol?

50 in 60 was returning GE to above 50% market share in new unit sale, either in GW or in unit sold, within 60 months. This was laid out in 2013 and achieved in one quarter in 2014, partially leading to 2-jet Jeff to bet big on power and purchase Alstom.

14 in 60 is sarcastic about GE’s new unit sale in 2018 - the actual 60 months after the 2013 declaration. MHPS did change their order reporting method to McCoy, who calculates the market share data. Both Siemens and GE protested to McCoy. Siemens would have been number one for 2018 so far if MHPS used traditional order reporting.

GE got to 50 in 60 but then the market dropped out AND MHPS was wise and gamed McCoy by moving close dates around to make '17 look worse than it was and '18 look better.

BTW Paul, nice LinkedIn posting. Hope Tusa is giving you a nice 'boneus'....

For those of us who don't work for either company... What does 14 / 50 in 60 mean?

So we're talking sh-- about the MHPS that actually DID achieve 50 in 60, right? Same MHPS, right? "We" being the company that achieved 14 in 60.

Bummer, thought that was referred to the machine gun.

It probably refers to Paul Browning who was an exec at GE and is now VP at Mitsubishi. Word has it that he is running a smear campaign against his former employer.

"Mr Browning"? That reference went right by me.

"half cooked H class GT" too true. To put all that manpower into a product and then to find ourselves substantially behind MHI was a failure all around.

If VA is going back to power they should send DM back to GRC to take his place...

Not sure what will become of VA but I always understood that RS would be around. He's diverse.

He was right. However, you never know what people are until you push them into a corner.

I am not a huge Vic fan, but one of the reasons (reportedly) he went to GRC is he was opposed to the Alstom purchase and expanding into extended scope work. He was right. Also, at least when he was in Power he made it clear who below him was responsible for what. Can't say that today.

VA was not big enough in the Alstom deal. If you look things in this way, whoever did not dare to punch JI in the nose and say " you are wrong" need to hold accountable. Live and let live.

Lol.. His 50 in 60 vision was one of the reasons why GE brought Alstom and burnt their fingers.. His Push for half cooked H class GT also cost Ge a lot.

If he is back in GEpower in some capacity, not even God can save the company

If VA is coming back, they should announce it before VRIP offer ends. I am sure it at least double the number of takers.

VA will be forced out soon, since he’s been part of the leadership that got us here.
