I can't believe folks are nervous about what's to come. People, take your severances and run like hell as far as you can from CA and Boradcom. I can't wait for the next several weeks to be over. I don't even have a new job lined up, but I am working on it. And severance is sure going to help in that process.
And let's be honest here, what are the chances of landing somewhere that is worse than here? Minuscule at best.

I am enjoying every minute of the wait. We are placing bets on who will stay or will term day 1.
I wish I was getting a severance but I don't think I am. I think I will get a "permanent" offer because I expect the product I work on will be divested eventually.
Also, a lot of these products have contracts with customers to fulfill. Some people are going to have to stick around to do it. So this idea that everyone is going to get that severance is just not true

Yes I think that’s the issue is not knowing if you will actually be gone or not and when it willl be.
And there will be some people that fall into the “stay” bucket, which might be a good thing or not for them..... I hope it’s not me
People are nervous because there is a high chance of their BU being divested and it not being over soon, but stretching on for who knows how long.
