A current rumour floating around is that DCEH is trying to sell South University, in particular, the Savannah campus, in an attempt to raise money to keep the other parts of their empire afloat. Does anybody have any information that supports or contradicts this?

In South Florida overtures have been made by DCEH to seriously consider selling SU WPB to neighboring powerhouse in health care education Keiser University. Just how far along the talks are is anybody's guess but this deal would be consistent with DCEH's goal of consolidating the business to online while garnering badly needed working capital due to dwindling student enrollment.
The DeVry sale was for a dollar. Contract states “de minimis”. It come with $7.5 million in free operating capital, and only requires the $20 million payback IF the school does well and meets certain benchmarks over a long period of time. Essentially the parent company is just throwing away the school to a venture capitalist.

The well documented horrible stats tell the true story and they scream out loud that nobody's given a c-ap for years about anything but those lucrative loans, first at EDMC and now the holy rollin' DCEH.

So I take it you are saying that you and the professorial ilk routinely advocated for the duped students because you are good and, of course, you loved them for all the right reasons.
I don't get it David Mc Crook, is that why you were recently given the heave-ho? Too much love, I guess? You gotta watch out for that and remember that only Jesus gave love away for free.
Nonetheless it is so sad to see all that love gone to waste, isn't it? So unfair.

This is a joke considering there are at least two types of professorial syncophants at South.
One is the cowering I have always known what's going on and when you find out you've been f---ed I will be very sympathetic, but that's it. ( also known as the thoughts and prayers defense)
Two is now that you know what's going on you will report to the dean's office at 9am. I will meet you there along with the director of nursing and security and we will discuss your allegations concerning you're being f---ed. (also known as the anti righteous anger manuever)

It's hard to "sell" something that has no value. DeVry was sold for $1 to a VC. It has taken over a year and the sale has not gone through yet. Not enough buyers for underperforming school systems. EDMC mismanaged these schools, DCEH killed them. It is time for all of you to move on with your careers...someplace else.

South University, just like their degrees, or not worth the paper they’re printed on. The only people that believe this is quality education are either The students who were too poor or too stupid to know any better, or the employees who make over 80 K a year to enroll people into these worthless programs. Even at that point, the employees are smart enough to realize the education is a joke, but like most other remaining employees, they need to earn a living. Most logical, qualified employees have found greener pastures elsewhere.
Don’t get your hopes up. This has been a rumor for a while now, even before the DCEH catastrophe. Also, the DOE and SACS would have to be involved and given the cluster f@&k from last year’s sale, I highly doubt this would get approved. Although, given the current state of affairs anything is possible...
